Tuition Assistance & Voluntary Equitable Tuition
Please note, the Forest School Foundation provides Forestships, a tuition assistance program.

A limited amount of tuition assistance is available for families with demonstrated need who would not otherwise be able to send their child to Growing Wild / Acorn Adventures. The purpose of financial aid is to increase access to our program. We believe every child deserves the chance to get their hands in the dirt and their hearts in the woods.

There is a $25 application fee. Families who receive Forestship tuition assistance automatically have this fee waived.
Forestships are awarded on a first-come-first-serve basis during the enrollment period (May - August) or until our yearly fund is exhausted. You can request the Forestship Financial Aid application as a part of your enrollment application - just make this request known to Growingwildforestschool@gmail.com
Additionally, if your family has more abundance to share which can help expand our impact, please let us know so we can adjust your monthly payments accordingly!

We also accept donations to the Forestship Fund by members of our extended community.
Unenrollment Policy
The Forest School Foundations enrolls Growing Wild and Acorn Adventures on a rolling basis - regular enrollment opens in May for the following school year, and remains open until all available spaces are full. Once you receive a spot, you will be asked to pay a deposit - your deposit is credited to the last month enrolled. We assume all enrolled students will stay with us for the entirety of the school year - therefore, the last full month billed is assumed to be May, therefore deposits are typically applied as May tuition (the first week of June / our last week of school is billed at a prorated weekly rate).
The Enrollment Agreement confirms a family’s commitment to paying tuition at Growing Wild and/or Acorn Adventures. You are still, however, welcome to un-enroll at any time. Billing is issued each month on the 20th, due by the 27th (September 27th paying for October tuition, for example). Families have one billing cycle to withdraw from the contract. If you wish to end enrollment starting in March, for example, you must submit un-enrollment by the billing period you want us to apply your deposit to - February’s billing period, billed January 27th. You must confirm un-enrollment in writing to growingwildforestschool@gmail.com.
If you submit un-enrollment within the billing cycle, we are able to apply your original deposit (equal to last-month's tuition) to your new final month. As in the above example - if you wish to un-enroll in March, if you submit unenrollment by January 27th, we are able to cancel your payment plan and apply your initial deposit to your new last-month-enrolled, February.
Families desiring to un-enroll from Growing Wild or Acorn Adventures after the deadline will be accountable for the following month of tuition, regardless of attendance. For example, if the family wishes to un-enroll effective March 1st, but does not submit until February 20th, the original deposit will be considered coverage for March tuition and un-enrollment will take effect April 1st. Children are welcome to attend school for the month paid - so, in the above example, the child could continue to attend in March, should that be possible for your family. We do not return enrollment deposits.
Families who meet one of the following circumstances can request tuition forgiveness by submitting a letter and appropriate documentation to the Forest School Foundation’s Director:
-
A serious medical complication has arisen since the time of signing the contract.
-
A documented extreme financial setback has arisen since the time of signing the contract.
-
The enrolled student’s special support needs are beyond the capacity of our program/s to serve.
